Nieuwedrift Wine Estate is situated 9 km south of Piketberg along the N7 highway, and approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from Cape Town along the popular Namaqualand/Namibian tourist route.
The historic family farm boasts an impressive wedding venue with landscape views of the vast Swartland mountain ranges, as well a boutique wine cellar which has been part of the Mostert family for seven generations. Through their love of wine, the Mostert family started cultivating grapes in 1996. It was in 2001 when winemaker, Johan Mostert, decided to live out his dream by starting his own winery.
The winery has now become the pinnacle point around which the ideal country-style wedding venue has been developed. Catering for a maximum of 120 guests, the estate provides Bedouin tents with fairy lights, a dance floor and chairs for hire. Nieuwedrift wines are also available for purchase for functions, otherwise alternative alcoholic beverages can be brought along. We also have a jungle gym for kids and lovely green lawns for kids to play on.
Imbued with tradition and history, Nieuwedrift Wine Estate offers an array of bespoke wines and MCC’s that can be enjoyed at this intimate wedding venue.
